Email marketing · Minnesota

The list you
already own is
the cheapest
revenue you have.

Email marketing for Minnesota businesses. Roughly four million marketing emails sent across welcome flows, broadcasts, lifecycle campaigns, and list reactivation. No retainer for sending pretty newsletters that nobody opens.

Why email still outperforms almost everything else

Every other channel rents you attention. Ads stop the day you stop paying. Social reach is set by an algorithm you do not control. Search takes months and can move under you overnight. An email list is the only audience a business actually owns, and for most Minnesota businesses it is sitting in a platform nobody has logged into since the last owner set it up.

That is the usual starting point. Not a business with no list, but a business with a real list and no system pointed at it. The first month of this work is almost never about getting new subscribers. It is about finding out what the existing ones are worth.

What a dormant list turned into

~$9,000 a month, from a list that was already there

A dormant 4,200-contact retail list reached a steady 38% open rate and approximately $9,000 in monthly revenue within four months. No new subscribers were bought. The list was cleaned, re-permissioned, warmed back up, and then given a reason to open on a schedule it could count on.

Some clients stay unnamed by agreement. The baseline, timeframe, and method behind every result can be walked through on a call. More on client work.

How the work actually goes

In this order, because doing it out of order is how businesses end up in the spam folder.

  1. Fix deliverability first

Authentication set up properly, the domain warmed if it has been quiet, and the list cleaned of the addresses that will bounce. If your mail lands in Promotions or spam, nothing else on this page matters. This is unglamorous and it is always first.

  2. Turn on the flows that run themselves

Welcome sequence, abandoned cart or abandoned quote, post-purchase or post-job follow-up, and a review request. These are written once and then earn every month without anyone touching them. For most businesses this is where the majority of email revenue comes from, and it is the part that is usually missing entirely.

  3. Get on a broadcast rhythm you can hold

A schedule the business can actually sustain beats an ambitious one it abandons in March. Usually that is two to four sends a month with something genuinely worth opening: new inventory, a seasonal reason to act, real answers to the questions the phone keeps asking.

  4. Reactivate, then segment

Win back the people who used to open and stopped. Then split the list by what people actually did rather than by what they said they wanted when they signed up. Segmentation before you have a working list is a spreadsheet exercise. Segmentation after it is where the margin is.

Platform-agnostic, with strong opinions

The right platform is usually the one that fits the business model, not the one with the best homepage.

Ecommerce and retail

Klaviyo where the product catalog and purchase history need to drive the sending. This is where flow revenue compounds fastest.

Service businesses

Email inside the CRM, so a send and a follow-up task live next to the same contact record and nothing falls between two systems.

Already on something else

Mailchimp, Constant Contact, Shopify Email and the rest all work. Migrating costs money and risks deliverability, so it only happens when the current tool is genuinely the constraint.

Where this work happens

Based in Bemidji, working across Minnesota and the wider Upper Midwest, with clients in Minnesota, Missouri, Florida, and Ontario. Email is the one service that genuinely does not care where either of us is sitting, so distance has never been the deciding factor on these engagements.

Email is usually one part of a larger fix. If the problem is that inquiries are not being answered fast enough in the first place, start with contractor marketing or the Automation Suite instead.
