Video Production · Selective availability

Video that performs — not video that just looks pretty.

Five hundred plus pieces shipped across six years for eCommerce brands, B2B service companies, and local operators in Minnesota, Alaska, California, and Wisconsin. We take a small number of new projects per quarter so the work stays sharp and the calendar stays honest.

The work behind the work

Six years. Four states. Five hundred pieces.

Most "video production" is someone with a Sony A7 and a YouTube tutorial. We're operators who've shipped at scale — across categories, climates, and conversion goals — and learned what makes video actually move revenue, not just look good in a portfolio.

Production for Minnesota Marketing isn't a side service — it's a craft we've spent years getting good at, with the receipts to prove it. Most agencies talk about video. We've built the body of work to show what it does for the businesses on the other side of it.

What we shoot

Two lanes. Both built to convert.

We don't try to be a generalist video shop. The work that's paid the bills — and built the portfolio — is concentrated in two areas where we know what good looks like and what good performs like.

eCommerce video

  • Product hero videos for PDPs and landing pages
  • Lifestyle and demonstration content for Meta + TikTok ads
  • UGC-style and creator-style ads built to convert at scale
  • Brand story and founder pieces for "About" and ad funnels
  • Variant generation — same shoot, dozens of edits, multiple platforms

Past work spans home goods, pet products, garage door hardware, automotive accessories, and outdoor categories.

B2B & local-business video

  • Founder and team interviews — credible, not corporate
  • Service explainers for contractors, demolition, glass, garage door, rental
  • Project before/after and on-site work documentation
  • Testimonial and case study pieces from real customers
  • Local-market ads for Google, Facebook, and YouTube placement

If you've ever felt your category looks generic on video — that's the gap we close. Local operators don't have to look like a generic agency reel.

Why selective availability

A small number of projects, finished well — beats a queue.

We take on a few production projects per quarter, on purpose. The math is simple: when the calendar is honest, the work is honest. Editing time doesn't get rushed, scripts don't get phoned in, and the pieces that ship actually do what we said they'd do.

If we're full when you reach out, we'll tell you straight, and we'll quote you for the next opening. If we're a bad fit for what you're trying to make, we'll tell you that too — and usually point you toward someone who is. Nobody wins when a video shop overcommits.

Who we work best with

  • eCommerce brands ready to test or scale paid social with real video assets — not slideshows of product photos.
  • Local service operators who want video that looks like their company, not like a stock-footage agency reel.
  • B2B founders who need to show up on camera credibly without sounding like a LinkedIn caricature.
  • Owners with budget for the work — production that performs isn't the cheapest option on the menu, and we're upfront about that on the first call.
How a project runs

Four steps. No surprises. Fixed scope, fixed price.

Step 1

Discovery call.

Twenty-thirty minutes. We talk through what you're trying to make, what it's for, what it has to perform against, and whether we're the right shop for it. If we're not, we say so.

Step 2

Scope, script, schedule.

You get a fixed-price proposal with deliverables, shoot dates, and turnaround. Scripts and shot lists go through one or two rounds with you before anyone picks up a camera. No surprises on day-of.

Step 3

Shoot.

Single-day or multi-day depending on scope. We travel for the work — Minnesota, Wisconsin, the Dakotas, and beyond on request. Past projects have taken us as far as Alaska and California.

Step 4

Edit, deliver, iterate.

Two-week typical turnaround for full edits. One round of revisions baked into every project. Variant cuts (vertical, square, 6/15/30/60) priced per variant when the project calls for it.

What it's done

Video that's actually moved the number on the spreadsheet.

A reel is just a reel. The work has to perform somewhere — on a PDP, in a paid social account, on a sales page, in an inbox. Here's what production has delivered for past clients.

eCommerce paid social for a home-goods brand: video creative drove a 2.3× lift in ROAS over the static images we replaced, and a 47% drop in cost-per-acquisition over six weeks.

Common questions

Before you inquire.

Most projects fall in the $3,500-$25,000 range depending on shoot days, locations, deliverable count, and post-production complexity. Single-day product or interview shoots with a clean edit and one round of revisions tend to land at the lower end. Multi-day, multi-location, multi-deliverable projects with paid-media-ready variant cuts go higher. We give a fixed-price proposal up front — no hourly billing surprises.
Yes. We've shot in Minnesota, Wisconsin, the Dakotas, California, and Alaska — and we'll travel further when the project warrants it. Travel is included in the proposal so you see the full price up front.
Because production work doesn't scale linearly. Editing time, prep time, and creative attention all degrade when too many projects run in parallel. We'd rather take fewer projects and finish them well than take everything and ship mediocre cuts. If we're booked when you reach out, we'll quote for the next opening.
Sometimes — for the right relationship. We don't run a content-mill subscription. But for clients we work well with, we'll structure recurring engagements (monthly shoots, quarterly campaigns) where the volume is sane and the work stays high-quality.
Scripts are part of the project. You bring the message, the brand, and the goals; we draft the shooting script and on-camera direction. Two rounds of revision baked in. If you've already got copy you love, we work with it.
For most clients we focus on producing the assets and hand them to whoever's running media. For Growth Partner clients, we sometimes run paid media end-to-end — but that's a separate engagement, by application only. See Growth Partner.
